Detailed description is Serving the greater Hayward area with local, organically grown produce. Let us know if you're interested in our summer CSA program. Hope Haven Farms Summer 2014 CSA. . We’ve expanded our gardens and seed variety and are excited to be gearing up for another summer CSA. For those who aren’t familiar with how a CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) works, individuals and families have the opportunity to buy a “share” in our farm. In exchange they get a basket each week of a variety of whatever we’re harvesting at the time. We are again planning on a 20-week growing season with harvests tentatively beginning Memorial Day and running through the end of September.. . The costs are as follows: $600 for a full share (4-8 people); $300 for a half share (2-5people); $150 for a quarter share (1-2 people). Full payment is required with registration. We are also planning on having extra to sell at the Farmer’s Market, so if there is something you would like more of it should be available for purchase there.. . Please remember that, while our CSA members have the highest priority when we select produce, we all share in the bounty and the risk of raising produce in the Northwoods. Also note that if you don’t pick up your basket at your designated time/location it will be donated to our community food shelf.
