In short, my passion in life is driven by creativity, perspective and candid fluidity. I rarely go ANYWHERE without my camera (Canon EOS Rebel T5i) or my phone (Samsung S7 Edge), even if its the grocery store. I am often able to find something or someone somewhere, and anywhere, that is worth framing and photographing at any particular moment. I marvel at the ability to capture moments, and freeze them in time.. . My own creative approach to 'photography' is more organic and just a little different. While I am willing and able to produce the appropriate photographs in appropriate ways to fit the situation, my passion in this medium comes from being able to look at a person in a photograph I have taken and feel the honesty in emotion exuding from it.. . When I have creative control over a photoshoot, I prefer to tell my subjects to just forget I am there, and carry on as if it were just a normal day for them. If it were up to me, all of the formalities wouldn't even exist. I am truly obsessed with candid photography. While there is a proper time and place for posed and planned canvases, there is something both raw and innocent, beautiful and tragic, undeniable and unmistakable about capturing a moment that was not only unplanned, but unexpected. Every single photo of me that I would consider my favorite was completely candid (and I used to model in my younger and more attractive years).. . I am completely self-taught, and I am always learning, trying new things, experimenting with new ideas, and doing new things. Over many many years (of travelling with my family and being expected to be the family photographer of the entire trip), I have all but eliminated the use of the flash unless absolutely necessary from my repertoire. Unless I want to edit for creative purposes, I'm not a huge fan of overly-reworking and saturating my work with all sorts of crazy filters and other nonsense. I prefer to feel the victory of getting the prefect shot, needing to do nothing to it, and admiring it in its raw and original form. That being said, I recently was bestowed the gift of a proper and professional grade DSLR - what a perfect time to start taking myself seriously!!. .
