Detailed description is Init2win was started on February 1 2013 This is a fund started in memory of Kevin A.
Pomerleau.
A marine who served his country proudly Kevin He was born October 29, 1974, and educated in Poland and Auburn Maine school systems.
In 1993 he wanted to follow in his dads footsteps and joined the United States Marine Corp.
While serving he did tours in Bosnia, Afghanistan, and he especially loved Okinawa.
He was discharged in 1997 after a Hum-V motor he was working on fell on his arm..
After being discharged he spent time in Maine and Florida enjoying his passion for motorcycles,tattoos, and his love for art.
Whether that be drawings, his paintings, or just doodling on a napkin.
Any chance he got he was drawing..
Many of these passions were left very limited when a surgery to hopefully improve mobility in his wrist from his accident in service did not go as planned.
He was left with limited use of his right wrist and in constant pain.
He was offered a second surgery which would give him a 50/50 chance of either having a little more use or even worse, none at all.
He opted to not take the chance.
He was left with the solution of being on medication to alieve some of the pain.
This took a toll on his organs.
Two years ago he suffered a pancreatitis.
And most recently in the beginning of January 2013 he was admitted to the hospital with the diagnosis of sorosis of the liver.
January 11th he was discharged with the greatest outlook on life and so happy he had been given a second chance.
Unfortunately January 16th he was rushed back to the hospital with kidney failure.
All efforts were made, but his kidneys and liver were too far damaged and not functioning.
He passed away January 25, 2013..
Kevin lived his 38yrs to the very fullest, more than most get to.
He had a larger than life personality that people gravitated toward.
If you knew him your life is somehow forever changed.
He was a devoted son, brother, friend etc.
he lived everyday with the motto “take care of family” whether that be his blood, his friends, or his military family..

We would like to help him continue on his IN IT 2 WIN outlook on life and help first by providing him with a headstone.
All donations beyond that we would like to continue helping his fellow veterans with various charities such as the wounded warriors, homeless vets, etc.
our hope is to touch as many lives as he did living if not more in his short 38yrs..
