When Joe got sick, Merle transitioned more to a home store including house decor and bridal registry. The store was a way of life for Joe and Merle. It still is for Merle. Her declining health no longer allows her to go to the store, but it is still on her mind everyday. They raised their children Marilyn, Mark and Arthur in the store. Her son Mark and his wife Rita are striving as much as possible to open the store and keep the business going. The store will be open on select dates by Mark and Rita, Merle's grandchildren, family, and friends. To our family, the store is more than just a business it was home.
