In his younger years, he took art classes from Elsie Grace. She was an inspiration to him. In high school he made and . . designed gold and silver jewelry with his father. In his last years of high school, he had an art teacher named . . Mrs. Janis Commentz. She opened Scott's eyes to many different art mediums She also let Scott design the cover for the school . . newspaper.
