He was elected in May 2015 to represent District One on the San Marcos CISD School Board, an area that straddles southeastern Hays and northwestern Guadalupe counties with Texas Highway 123 in the middle. . . Miguel believes that the San Marcos CISD can and will become the premier school district in Texas if board members continue to be vocal advocates for academic excellence and set high expectations for all students. . .
