Detailed description is Junction Trail Blazers snowmobile Club is a Not-for-Profit Organization The Junction Trailblazers Snowmobile Club. The Junction Trailblazers Snowmobile Club is a registered Not for Profit organization made up of a group of non - paid, like – minded individuals who enjoy snowmobiling.. The Clubs primary mandate in conjunction with the Newfoundland and Labrador Snowmobilers Association is to develop, maintain and groom existing snowmobile trail system. This trail system radiates out and into Deer Lake, to the north as far as Wiltondale, to the east as far as Hampden and to the west as far as “Spillway”.. In conjunction with this mandate a member of our board acts as grooming coordinator for grooming of the existing trail system.. The club’s secondary mandate in conjunction with the “Hub Committee” is to promote snowmobiling within the Deer Lake and surrounding areas with Deer Lake as the “Hub” of snowmobiling. The club’s goal in this regard is the development of a signage system on the existing trail system to provide rider’s with directions into the Deer Lake area with a listing of business establishments.. During the past snowmobiling season, the club was able to obtain the above objectives with the following accomplishments:. 1. Host of the 2013 Annual Newfoundland and Labrador Rendezvous. 2. Brush cutting along the Cormack Trail System. 3. Building of the trail system behind Commerce Street in Deer Lake.. 4. Development and construction of a new trail from Deer Lake to the Canal Banks. 5. New decking on bridge at Rocky Brook.. 6. Construction of three (3) Advertising Boards – TCH East, Spillway & Canal Banks.. For this upcoming season, our club would like to focus on the following improvements:. 1. New signage within the town limits for out of town snowmobilers.. 2. Further development of the new trail system from Deer Lake to the Canal Banks.. 3. Development of the trail system around Commerce Street area and Power Plant field.. 4. Upgrade the race centre and sponsor snowmobile races for the upcoming season.. 5. New warm up shelter at the Sink Hole & Bowl intersection..
