Trained 1,800 community leaders on important issues,. including community leadership and organizing,. policy power analysis, health care, immigration. reform, voter registration, and naturalization.. . Public Actions including prayer vigils,. press conferences, teach-ins and meetings.. . During the 2007 San Diego County wildfires,. JOB mobilized 80 bilingual advocates to translate and. monitor the treatment of people of color in shelters. throughout the county and insure that their. civil liberties were being respected.. . Registered 1500 new voters and made contact with. 5,000 voters to get out and vote in 2006 and 2008.. Advocacy Campaigns resulting in thousands of letters,. phone calls, and pledge cards in support of. socially responsible policies.. . 150 trained community leaders organized citizenship. workshops and processed 1500 immigrants to apply. for naturalization since 2007.. . Founded Fiesta del Sol San Diego in 2006.. . Built strong partnerships with news and media. throughout San Diego county
