Commissions welcome! .Kira Kamamalu Lee is a local Hawaiian artist . born here on the Big Island. Kira believes that much of her creative inspiration comes from her Hawaiian ancestors and from the island itself which is still in it’s own creative process and growing each day. Primarily a figure painter, Kira’s works are done entirely by palette knife. This unusual technique adds pleasing texture to her work and gives it an identifiable style. . Kira has studied art here in Hawaii as well as in Europe where her art was featured in Gallery D’Assadi in Nyon, Switzerland. Her first solo exhibition here at home in Hawaii in July 2011 sold out launching a promising career for this rising, young Hawaiian artist.. Each painting is framed in solid Hawaiian woods by Kira’s financé & creative woodworker Mick Ventrella.
