Detailed description is KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS 12542 ST LUCY CHURCH,WEST LONG BEACH,CA 90805 The Knights of Columbus Free Throw Championship is a great way to provide entertainment and enjoyment for the young people in your community. The Free Throw Championship is open to all boys and girls in your community, ages 10 to 14. . . The California State Free Throw Championship in 2013 will be conducted in the three (3) region format Northern, Central and Southern areas. The State Regional Free Throw Championship is scheduled for Sunday, March 10, 2013. The three State Regional contests will be conducted simultaneously. The regional coordinators will determine the regional champions and immediately compare scores via telephone. These "regional" champions will be the "winners" of their local California Chapter level contest. If there is a tie between regional champions, then a state level “shoot-out” will immediately be conducted at the regional sites. The high scores among the three regional champions will determine the California State Championship. The State Regional championship trophies will be presented to the winners immediately upon completion of the regional contest. The California State Championship awards will be coordinated by the State Coordinator and provided to the respective regional coordinator for presentation at an appropriate event. The Council level contests should be scheduled in early January. The District level contest in early February and the Chapter level contests should be scheduled in late February at least "two" weeks prior to the State Regional in March. In order to avoid potential scheduling conflicts with local youth league basketball programs, it is recommended that Council, District and Chapter level contests be scheduled on Sundays. Be careful to avoid weekends when other city basketball tournaments may be happening. The State Regional contest sites are currently being established and will be announced in the near future. In the mean time, your local Council, District and Chapter Coordinators should immediately contact local resources to determine dates and locations for their respective local events if they have not already done so. . .
