Many of these heirloom varieties have been collected from villages and markets all over the world. They are grown using sustainable agricultural practices that emphasizes organically rich topsoil. Food will have good nutritional values if it has been grown in soil that has optimal plant nutrition levels. All of our garlic is grown on our Boone County farm outside Columbia, Missouri in soil that has been amended with substantial amounts of organic compost. We do routine soil tests to ensure nutrient levels are where they should be for optimal growth, plant health and nutritional benefits. We also utilize cover crops to build soil quality over time. Integrated Pest Management (IPM) and crop rotation are important practices implemented on our farm. Our goal is to ensure that all of our crops are nutrient dense and healthy to eat.. .
