Girls have not had the chance to exhibit their athleticism for as long as boys due to many generations of strong gender roles and stereotypes. Sports were meant for men, and girls entering a sport made them manly. Over generations, it has finally become a norm for girls to become strong and be athletic. I mean, who wouldn't want their daughters to build their confidence, stay active, and have a strong character, right?
