Detailed description is Lambda Chi Alpha is a Men's Christian-based general fraternity. On the international level we are the third largest fraternity with over 270,000 brothers. The newest fraternity on the campus John Carroll University in our second year. Come join us! ZAX Lambda Chi Alpha has shown itself to be the most progressive fraternity in the world! Established in 1909 by a young man from Boston University named Warren A. Cole, Lambda Chi Alpha has initiated over 270,000 members making it the third largest social fraternity in the world! In 1939, the largest merger in the fraternity world saw the Theta Kappa Nu fraternity merge with Lambda Chi Alpha, helping the fraternity survive the great depression. Lambda Chi Alpha was the first fraternity to abolish hazing and pledge-ship in the 1960’s, replacing it instead with Associate Membership. Recently, Lambda Chi Alpha has stayed on the forefront of the fraternal world through our fraternal education program known as the TRUE Brother Initiative. We look forward to building our Colony at John Carroll University and building a tradition of excellence on campus!
