Open up your world with LFA!. . Languages for All offers a range of foreign language courses to help you communicate with people from other countries and gain an insight into other cultures.. . If you wish to: . . * start a new language . * improve your fluency in conversation . * brush up rusty language skills . * complete an assessed course covering speaking, listening, reading and writing . * gain 'survival skills' before going on a trip abroad . * prepare for studying or working abroad . * take a language course as a degree module under a departmental elective scheme . * develop skills to help you do business in a foreign language . * learn to read and translate foreign literature . . ...we have a course for you!. . Courses are available at a variety of levels from beginners to degree standard. We offer long (19-week) courses (running from October to June) and subject to demand, shorter (8-week) courses. Most courses are assessed/examined and lead to the award of a certificate, although some of our shorter courses are non-assessed. . . Classes are held at a variety of times (lunchtimes, daytimes, evenings) and are open to everyone... students in all departments, staff and members of the public.
