Detailed description is I offer lessons for beginners/ intermediate riders. From basic grooming skills to proper equitation in the show ring. Limited availability, PM for details. My goal is to offer honest, quality lessons at an affordable rate for beginner-intermediate riders with an interest in showing. . . All lessons are unique, tailored to fit the riders future goals and current ability. A lesson can include anything, from teaching you how to train your horse to lounge, to how to properly groom/trim your horse for show, along with the typical riding. I focus on teaching my students and their horses the basic pieces, so when they eventually try to do a more advanced movement they already have the correct foundation. . . I am experienced in Showmanship, Western Eq, English Eq, Trail and ground training. I started in schooling/open shows as a kid and advanced into riding with world quality trainers. I have always had knowledgeable mentors teaching me the ins and outs of horses, taking advice from people who had proven results. Over the years I have gained quite a bit of knowledge. I would like to spread some of my knowledge to the kids of Douglas County where I started in 4-H, so they too can become better horsemen. From training with world quality trainers and competing against their students I will know when a rider has benefited from me all that they can and who to send them to next ( Ex: like if your goal is to go to Paint or QH Worlds).. . -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------. . *Availability is limited* *No lesson horse available at this time* *Insured through Markell*. . *Lessons are held at Doge Creek Stables Sutherlin, OR and they must be scheduled ahead of time so I can coordinate with the barn owner. . ** I will travel to your property/barn but the price will increase depending on the distance. . . Riding Lessons ....... $25/ hour on your horse . . Group Lessons......... $25/ hour +5 per additional student. Limit 4 students.. . Part Time Training....$30/hour. . Show Prep..................$150 Includes: bathing, hoof polishing, clipping, mane banding, blanketing, cleaning stall. (I suggest taking a lesson to learn how to do these things on your own). . Coaching at shows..$75 per day OR $20 per class. (pattern help, last minute touch ups). . Part time training.....$30/ hour. . . *Payment due at beginning of lessons. . *Cancellations must be made 24 hours in advanced or you will be charged for the lesson but If I cancel within 24 hours then I will give you a free lesson at your convenience. . .
