Detailed description is The Lighthouse Charter School’s educational program has been developed to provide expanded educational choice and opportunities for families in West Sac. The Lighthouse Charter School's educational program will be replicating the Delta Elementary Charter School (DECS), which is located in Clarksburg. Lighthouse will offer a school setting that reflects the community’s desire to have access to a rigorous academic program that includes visual and performing arts, technology and athletics programs. Lighthouse will also focus on parent and community involvement to reach out to all stakeholders to ensure that the educational needs of all students are being met. . . The proposed school site will be at Lighthouse Drive and Douglas Avenue in West Sacramento. Upon opening in 2015-2016, the Charter School will offer K-2 classes in the elementary grades and 7th and 8th grade in the middle grades and will seek to eventually serve approximately 600 students in grades K-8, by adding a grade/year.
