Detailed description is Our ranch combines the experiences of owner Bonnysue and the business mind of owner Mike Moss, to create a unique and well rounded program. Suited for anyone who loves horses and wants to learn to ride, handle and care for horses. Bonnysue's background includes 50 years of training, instructing and brokering. . . We are located in Washoe Valley, against the hill on the east side. We live here and someone is usually here. We charge $125 for our equi-share members which gives them a horse to ride once a week and access to the ranch to walk, groom and handle horses another couple days a week. We do have volunteers who walk, groom and help train and fit and help with maintenance as needed. We do not charge people who help us in that manner.We are grateful for the help. For the very experienced riders, we have a couple horses that need finishing work done. This takes very experienced riders and this help is greatly appreciated. I give lessons for which I ask a $25 donation. If we have someone on a tight budget, we are flexible with exchanging work for all or part of the cost. If someone just wants to hang out and ride, not work any, we require a $25 donation each visit. We always appreciate any small donation anyone can make because there are horses waiting to be saved. But our main goal is to connect people and horses, help fit and place the horses we rescue and live a happy life surrounded by nice people.We are trying to collect donations to rescue a very nice thoroughbred gelding who is in a very bad place right now. We need $900. If you know any other people interested in this program or in rescuing a horse please keep our program in mind.
