Detailed description is Lisa Denaro is originally from Boston where she began her ballet training at a very early age with Carolyn Wells of Ballet Russe de Monte Carlo. She came to the New York area and continued her intensive training in New York City with many of the most highly acclaimed teachers from the Kirov Academy, The Bolshoi Academy, Paris Opera, and New York City Ballet. She specifically credits Kirov Academy graduates Alexander Filipov, and Kyril Matveev; former principle dancer with Eifman Ballet. She also has an accomplished background in Jazz, Modern dance, Ballroom, and has studied piano under the great Italian born violin virtuoso Mario Mantini of the Boston Pops under the direction of Arthur Fiedler. In addition to performing Miss Denaro’s goal was to master her teaching skills to help dancers achieve their goals much ahead of schedule.. For students with professional career intentions she has the keen visual ability to immediately analyze the body alignment, technique, and musicality of the dancer. It is sometimes extremely difficult for a student to open his/her mind to suggestions of re-learning technique. However, with a little trust and hard practice the student and parent are always amazed at the stunning and positive result.. Miss Denaro has over 25 years teaching and performing experience. She teaches classical ballet to beginners through professionals. Some of her adult professionals are currently teaching and performing in dance companies in the Tri-State area and California. Some of Miss Denaro’s pre-professional students have competed in the Youth America Grand Prix, CT Classic, and been accepted for summer programs or academic school years at ABT, Boston Ballet, The Joffrey Ballet , The Bolshoi School, The School of American Ballet, North Carolina School for the Performing Arts, Julliard, James Madison, Purchase College, Kaatsban, Houston Ballet, Harid Conservatory, The Hart School, Hartford Ballet, and Walnut Hill. . .
