Detailed description is Beginner piano lessons in my home studio starting July 2017. I am a wife, mother, and music therapist. I began taking piano lessons as a 7 year-old and enjoyed studying piano for the next 13 years. After high school, I entered the music program at Brandon University. I studied there for 2 years before transferring to Canadian Mennonite University (CMU), where I completed my Bachelor of Music Therapy in 2008. My internship took place at Riverview Health Centre where I worked with elderly patients and individuals with health-related needs. Since completing my internship, I have provided music therapy in a variety of settings such as day programs for adults with intellectual disabilities, day cares, music schools, and Kindergarten classrooms. I have enjoyed working with a wide range of clients, from toddlers to the elderly, including individuals with a variety of special needs. In 2014, I also enjoyed the opportunity to teach music therapy courses at CMU as a sessional instructor.. . Since having my second child in 2016 I have decided to offer piano lessons from my home studio as a way to pursue career and also spend time with my young boys.. .
