Detailed description is Little J's CSA is a small family farm (160 acres) located 40 miles north of Grand Forks. We are experienced gardeners that love the everyday challenge of working with Mother Nature. We are not certified organic, but do use natural practices.. . Natural practices to Little J's means no chemicals or pesticides. We control weeds through hand weeding, rototilling and organic preen or similar product. We use floating row covers and spray a dense garlic fog to control insects. We use the manure from our cows, chickens, and turkeys to fertilize the garden. We also rotate the fall pigs around the garden as we close down for the year. They fertilize, till and eat what's left all at once!
