Detailed description is We're the College & Young Adults ministry at Live Oak UMC, ministering to young adults ages 18-30. We meet monthly for Bible study, fellowship & food. The Lighthouse College & Young Adults ministry is for young adults 18-30, graduated from high school and unmarried. The name "Lighthouse" is from Matthew 5:14-16 where Jesus calls His followers to be the 'light of the world,' 'a city on a hill that cannot be hidden,' and for our light to draw people to refuge and renewal in the Father. We meet monthly for Bible study, food, fellowship and fun. The purpose of our ministry is to plug young adults into the broader life of the church and equip them to continue growing in their faith.
