The festival day is comprised of a morning educational and performance component, and an afternoon recreational experience. The morning session includes a warm up period in a practice room. Students then move to a performance space for an adjudication session, during which a panel of experienced music educators will record their comments throughout the performance. Finally, one of the adjudicators will conduct a 15-20 minute clinic with the ensemble, focusing and expanding on a musical aspect of the student’s performance.. . After the educational component, ensembles may then proceed to an afternoon of fun with at a local amusement park or museum!
