The Lyons’ support the family tradition of farming started by Patricia’s grandmother Charlotte Graham who farmed tobacco, raised hogs and sold vegetables. Patricia’s mother, Laura Wade came back home to Raeford after retiring from the medical field in New York. Laura raised goats, quail, chickens, parakeets and love birds. When Laura became ill, Marshall and Patricia relocated to Raeford to care for her..
