We aim to provide a multi purpose, interdisciplinary creative space with artist-maker studios and gallery. A community hub offering pop-up cafe, workshops, exhibitions and events, all tailored to titivate our creative community and create dialogue, aswell as skills exchange, amongst those seeking value, in the arts. . . Art and the art of making underpin the very essence of what it is to be human, from our first tools to catch and forage food, to the blowpipe and brush we first painted on those cave walls with!. . . Art and craft can never cease to amaze, attract and bewilder the human community. Art and the art of making are not to be undermined in our quest for a better, more meaningful and more practical existence, and lets not forget the health, focus and fun you can get from being in the zone!?. . Materials, tools and technology originate as art, as an idea and a means to solve problems and find easier ways or even more complex and intellectual ways to explain a thing. This is what drives us. MISC are about capturing the innocent and pure essence of art and making, creating a dialogue, a platform and investing in the human community. . . With all this in mind,MISC seek to bring us together, with a new found, contemporary place for art and more practically, for crafts, to recognise our true worth in the community in the face of such a disparate, individualistic global economy.Community and its well being and the state of being of its people, along with our sense of place, are more important to nurture than ever before.. . We want to bring 'The Joy of Making' to the town of Penryn and suffuse our wider community with a sense of strength in cohesion and a need for community and more communication, using art and the art of making as the bridge or starting point to 'our' future.
