Detailed description is We are a club based in the Mat-Su valley of Alaska with an interest in finding, collecting, and sharing the geology of our great state. Many of us are rockhounds and go on field trips to collect and explore, all of us have a love of rocks and minerals. We meet at the American Legion Hall in Palmer on the 3rd Tuesday of each month, at 1550 S Mystic Cir. Palmer, AK. Each meeting is a potluck, so bring a dish to share! Visitors are encouraged to come check us out, even those who started the club had a first time. . We go on a number of field trips throughout the year, it is required that you are a member to go on our trips. Trips include driving, hiking, and ATVs, some are easy right off the road, some are hiking off the road up to several miles, some are over a week long 4 wheeler excursions.
