Meditation is not only a spiritual practice, but also a well-researched health and wellness practice. Our community service is to offer group meditation practice on Sundays at 10am and 5pm; meditation workshops and retreats; and sharing information and research about the wisdom of mediation and spiritual practice. . . We also offer classes to the public to learn and practice meditation based on the Transformation Meditation model for the basic techniques of meditation in the Foundation Level class. At the Intermediate Level, the class focuses on the Philosophy and Science of Meditation as well as learning some additional techniques. The Advanced Meditation class is based on the "apprentice" learning model with an individualized learning program and a monthly group meditation utilizing "samyama" or seed-thought meditation.. . As part of the Holistic Wellness Ministries of Sophia's Well of Wisdom, we strive to facilitate the processes of healing, spiritual growth and transformation utilizing the timeless practices of meditation.
