The idea behind Miller Law Group Arena is to simulate the professional indoor sports experience for everyone interested and permit anyone to play regardless of skill level.. . Miller Law Group Arena is used as a "professional sports arena", meaning attention to detail is done to make the arena as much like a professional arena as possible. From there, teams have been created for people to either play with or against, and an effort is made to give each team a home and road schedule.. . The result is Miller Law Group Arena in fact has taken on an identity of its own, and has come to be known as a sports venue people often visit to play or watch sports. If you are interested, playing in one of the sports at Miller Law Group Arena is lots of fun, and you will find that many others in the community have learned to enjoy the experience right along with you.. . There are now five teams that call Miller Law Group Arena home. They are:. . Reading Clips. Our hockey team. This is our flagship team as the Clips will travel to bigger arenas and draw bigger crowds than any of the other sports. The Clips' season begins with training camp in September and runs through March.. . Reading Jesters. Our basketball team. The Jesters have increased in popularity in recent years and have begun to draw great crowds and hold fun events like our annual St. Patrick's Day game. The Jesters play from the last week in October through March.. . Reading Crush. Our arena football team. The Crush is much more laid back in terms of competition, often being played by entire families with our kids. The idea is to simulate indoor football while not excluding anyone with rough play. The Crush play from the beginning of April until mid June.. . Reading Bullies. Known as "The Baddest Team on the Planet", the Bullies play in the East Coast Lacrosse League, which plays a combination of indoor and outdoor lacrosse. Aggressive checking is limited to those that want to permit it, and all are welcome to play. The Bullies now have road games scheduled in Greensboro, NC; Stuart, VA; Ocean City, MD; Washington, D.C. and others, but they play their home games right here in MLG Arena. The Bullies' season opens on Memorial Day weekend and ends on the first week of September.. . Berks United FC. Our indoor soccer team. Formerly the Berks Blast, the team was rebranded as Berks United FC to reflect the team's joint ownership with Manchester United. Berks U plays with smaller teams in smaller venues to allow broader participation. The United play a season beginning in late May and continuing through the end of August.
