Detailed description is The Missouri On-site Safety and Health Consultation Program is a consultation service for small employers to assist them with OSHA compliance issues and decreasing injuries and illnesses occurring at their facility. The Missouri On-site Safety and Health Consultation Program is a safety and health consultation service designed for small employers to assist them in getting in compliance with OSHA and to assist employers in decreasing their injuries and illnesses occurring at their facility. The Program is FREE and confidential, and is run within the Missouri Department of Labor, Division of Labor Standards. The employer's only obligation is to correct the serious or imminent danger hazards identified by the program’s consultants. If the employer refuses to correct a serious or imminent danger hazard, then by law the employer may be referred back to OSHA enforcement.. . The Missouri On-site Safety and Health Consultation Program also administer the Safety and Health Achievement Recognition Program (SHARP). SHARP is a program designed to provide recognition to small high hazard employers for implementing an effective safety and health management program. SHARP employers must have a Days Away Restricted Time Rate and Total Recordable Case Rate below that national average and a fully functioning safety and health management program in place. Once approved, SHARP participants can receive up to a two year exemption from OSHA programmed inspections.
