Detailed description is A biennial celebration of Tr'ondëk Hwëch'in (Hän) culture and traditions that takes place at Moosehide village, just downriver from Dawson, Yukon Territory, Canada. The Moosehide Gathering is a biennial summer event founded in 1993 by a group of dedicated Tr'ondëk Hwëch'in (Hän) people who wanted to celebrate their cultural traditions. . The event is a celebration of Hän traditions and culture, held every second year at the heritage site of Moosehide village. It’s an inclusive event that brings together people from across Canada, Alaska, and even visitors from overseas. Come share in First Nation culture – enjoy performances, guest speakers, feasts, dancing, drumming, singing and more. Artisans among you are invited to bring arts and crafts; musicians are encouraged to bring instruments. Catch up with old friends and make new friends.
