Detailed description is Provides kindergarten readiness & Tiny-tot programs in C.B.S. to help children academically & prepare for the expectations & routines of kindergarten. I offer a kindergarten readiness program for 4-5 year old children to help better prepare them for kindergarten. The focus will be on the core subjects of literacy, math and science while integrating skills such as gross and fine motor, critical thinking, speaking, and listening. This will be done in a play-based learning environment that promotes creativity and fun.. . I also offer a Tiny-Tot program for children 3 years of age. This program is a great introduction to preschool, academics, and socialization. We focus on fine motor skills within a play based learning environment.. . I am a trained primary/elementary teacher. My background includes a Bachelors of Arts and a Bachelors of Education (primary/elementary), both from Memorial University. I have recently completing my Masters in Education in the field of Curriculum, Teaching and Learning; with a focus in literacy. . . I completed my teaching internship in Kindergarten at Topsail Elementary and then taught in various schools (mainly Topsail) for the next 5 years. Next I spent 3 years teaching kindergarten and pre-kindergarten in Abu Dhabi to local non-English-speaking children.. . I am now back in Newfoundland and have decided to open and operate a preschool. I understand the importance of early childhood education and believe children can greatly benefit from a quality preschool program before attending kindergarten. . . I opened Ms. Taylor's Pre-K in January of 2014 and I am loving every minute of it.
