Detailed description is My name is Nancy Crossman and I am running for the two year unexpired term for the Sandwich School Committee.
I am married with two children, and have the unique perspective of watching them both attend Sandwich Public Schools K-12.
My six years of experience on the Sandwich School Committee makes me the best choice for this position because I understand the challenges associated with the district in providing the best possible education for our students while using taxpayer dollars wisely..

A Sandwich resident since 1990, I have volunteered for, and supported, many community activities including the Sandwich Garden Club, Sandwich Arts Alliance, Sandwichfest, 375 Parade, First Night, and Friends of Sandwich Library.
Last fall I was part of the 2016 Citizens Fire Academy class.
I also actively and consistently participate in both our Annual Town Meeting and Election..

My 31 year career at Verizon as an Engineer and Engineering Manager has given me the skills to identify and implement big picture solutions combined with multi-million dollar budget decisions..

As I am now retired, my flexible schedule allows me to dedicate as much time as required for the district, including daytime committee work.
Communication is key to getting the district message out to residents whether they have children in our schools or not.
