Detailed description is Keeping our children safer, one child at a time. The hub of the New York Regional office of the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) is located in Rochester, NY. Satellite offices are located in Buffalo, Utica, Saratoga Springs and a volunteer office is located in Long Island City. . . Educators are available from the Rochester office and its satellites to visit schools and community groups with abduction prevention and Internet Safety programs utilizing NCMEC's NetSmartz and KidSmartz resources. . . The Mohawk Valley arm of the New York regional office, located in Utica, also runs a targeted poster distribution program. Based on leads that NCMEC receives on missing children cases, posters are sent to those targeted regions of the country. The goal is that someone will recognize the missing child and lead to their recovery. . . Additionally, teams from the NCMEC Missing Children's Division and Child Victim Identification Program (CVIP) reside in the Rochester office. These teams work closely with law enforcement on missing children cases and exploitation cases respectively.
