Detailed description is The National Student Speech Language Hearing Association (NSSLHA) is a pre-professional membership association for students interested in the study of communication sciences and disorders. NSSLHA is the only official national student association recognized by our field’s national organization, ASHA (American Speech-Language-Hearing Association). NSSLHA UGA raises money to support the UGA Speech & Hearing Clinic. . . Benefits of joining the UGA Chapter include collaboration with other students who have an interest in communication sciences and disorders, development of leadership skills, enhancement of educational experiences, resources, and knowledge of the professions, exposure to other professionals in speech-language pathology and audiology, participation in service activities to benefit the community, department, and university, and recognition and awards for outstanding student contributions.. . Membership dues are currently $20. Meeting times will be sent out via the NSSLHA Listserv.. .
