The Secular Student Alliance is a group of open-minded people coming together to create a safe space to openly discuss and question religious views. We aim to broaden our knowledge of religion, belief, faith, each other,and our selves. A Freethinker is someone who forms opinions on religion based on logic, science, and reason rather than faith; this includes atheists, agnostics, and rationalists. However, our group also eagerly welcomes those that do follow a religion as we believe that the best way to learn about life is to learn about different lifestyles. . . If you are someone that has denied the existence of deities the Secular Student Alliance is a great place to freely discuss various topics without fear of judgement or criticism from those that disagree with you. Sometimes feeling like a minority is difficult and frustrating, but we're here to let you know that you're not alone!. . You do not have to have any established belief or state what your standing is on religion. If you're curious about us come to a meeting! We meet every Thursday at 7:00pm upstairs in the union (by the piano). We would love to answer ANY questions and doubts that you have about your own religion, other religions, or living with no religion.
