Detailed description is Making music for the joy of it! String players of all levels & ages join together in downtown New Bern, NC under the direction of Maestro Philip Evancho. The New Bern Civic Strings (NBCS) is a group of string players in the New Bern, N.C. area who enjoy playing together in an organized group. Members include adults and students of all ages. All competent string players are welcome -- no auditions necessary.. . Rehearsals are held at: Tabernacle Baptist Church (Fellowship Hall), 616 Broad St. New Bern, NC. Rehearsals are held on Saturday mornings from 9:00 a.m.-10:45 a.m. We begin promptly, so please arrive prior to the start of rehearsal.. If you have a music stand please bring it along. . .
