Noe Mountain Farm is a family farm operation located right outside of Willard/Springfield area in Southwest Missouri that raises/sells/trades animals and their products on a small scale.. . This page was created to update potential buyers on the livestock available and the products available and to give easy access to our policies/procedures regarding our animals.. . CATTLE. We raise Black Angus Cattle. We do have one nurse cow named Allie that we use to help raise orphaned or bottle calves. Our inventory of cattle will range from Bulls, Steers and heifers that are usually around 5 to 6 months when we sell them. At time of sale, all calves should calves should be vaccinated, dewormed and weaned unless otherwise noted. . . GOATS. We raise Nigerian goats. . . PIGS. We raise Hereford and Hereford/crosses. We love this breed due to their mild temperament, high yield of meat, and ability for the pigs to graze with our other livestock unlike most other pigs. Our inventory will range from gilts and boars and are usually weaned around 8 weeks of age. We sell our pigs two different ways. The first, is that you put a deposit down and pick out your pig. When they are weaned you come pick the piglet up and take it home with you!. The second way is our "We Raise For You" program. Ask for details. No hormones and no antibiotics.. . CHICKENS. We raise an assortment of chickens. At this time we sell eggs.. . HOUSING. Before a buyer comes to buy livestock we encourage everyone to have proper housing ready prior to the arrival of the animal. We will NOT refuse to sell an animal to someone who chooses to forgo the proper preparation, but we suggest this for the best possible results. . An ideal cattle pen would be enclosed enough to block wind and moisture.. . TRANSPORTING. Most of the animals leaving our property are capable of being transported in a livestock cage, dog carrier, stock rack or stock trailer. . . PRICES. Our prices follow the market trends week to week. Our prices may be slightly higher at times to account for the surrounding circumstances and added expense we invest such as vaccinating, labor, feeding and other cost. You will receive a sheet stating the dates and vaccines. . . PAYMENT. We accept only cash unless other arrangements have been agreed upon. Unfortunately, we just can't take the risk of checks anymore.. . LIABILITY. We do our absolute best to be an honest and trustworthy seller of healthy quality livestock. On request we will supply buyers with a Livestock Bill of Sale detailing our transaction. It includes a liability clause that contends that we are not going to be responsible for an animal once it has left our farm. It is important for buyers to understand that this is not due to fear of our animals being sick, but it is a protection for our farm against wrongdoing. We have no control over what actions or inaction a buyer makes outside of our property; therefore, I will not be held responsible for those choices. There are NO guarantees, either written, implied or expressed. We will never push any animal off on a buyer if he/she changes their mind and chooses not to buy it. We stand behind our animals and have no problem keeping them. . . PICK UP. At this time, we are usually too busy to travel. There may be exceptions made very rarely for large orders or regular buyers; however, it is best to assume you will have to pick up your animal. Most animals are located in Willard, MO. We ask that you schedule an appointment to view animals and DO NOT show up unannounced. Although unintentional, it can be a huge inconvenience for buyers to show up without our knowledge.. .
