Detailed description is Ohio Medical Education Day is an opportunity for pre-health professions students to learn how to prepare for, enter, & be successful in the medical field. . Ohio Medical Education Day (OMED) is an opportunity for Ohio pre-health professions students to learn about how to prepare for, enter, and be successful in the medical field. OMED 2017 will be hosted by the Northeast Ohio Medical University and sessions will cover topics including pro’s and con’s of taking a gap year, application procedures, creating a competitive application, travel abroad opportunities, personal statement writing, and letters of evaluation. In addition to these sessions, attendees will be able to attend a medical student panel discussion, a “Meet the Deans” chance to learn about potential schools, and a tour of the Northeast Ohio Medical University.
