It is a beloved playground by many generations of families in Penns Valley.. . Through the years, the current equipment has endured harsh winters and busy summers. With wooden posts beginning to rot, slides having been removed due to cracking, and cables loosening, the Gregg Township Supervisors and the Playground Committee have decided to look toward replacing the equipment.. . One of the biggest set backs to the current structure, is that it is not A.D.A accessible and therefore we would like to put in a structure that can be enjoyed by everyone.. . Our goal is to raise $20,000! WE NEED YOU! The Playground Committee has submitted a grant through the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources. If the grant is funded, we will need to raise a matching $20,000 in order to receive the maximum amount of $40,000. These funds would enable us to purchase new playground equipment that will be safe and accessible for everyone.The playground is an important resource to the Penns Valley Community for this generation and many generations to come.. .
