is a non- profit organization that was founded by a group of McIntosh County residents whose efforts were led by the late Dorothy Vandiver.
The group incorporated in March of 1978 with the mission to establish a program that provides people with developmental disabilities with the opportunity for vocational training and employment.

The organization is now celebrating 36 years of operation, has 36 employees, and currently provides services to 73 people with intellectual disabilities.
The agency operates 3 service facilities.
The main office and sheltered workshop (vocational training center) is located at 1129 White Stag Avenue in Checotah.
The second location is a six person group home that was built in 2003 and is located on 521 N.
Wineblood Street in Checotah.
The 3rd location is a vocational training center that is located at 12801 Highway 75 North, in Okmulgee..

Option #1: Outsource agreement.
How does this work?.
Step 1: Employer identifies the job/task, timeline, and specifications for which the task is to be completed.
Step 2: Options Inc.
provides a quote.
(Options may ask for a work sample for task analysis and time/motion studies) .
Step 3: A contract is developed with an agreed upon price.

Step 4: The work is performed, at Options’ facility, and is completed according to specifications.

assumes responsibility for staffing, training, oversight, and all payroll related activities/liabilities.

Note: this is often a very helpful and cost effective solution to taking highly trained and skilled workers off of high skill level task assignments to perform routine, episodic, or lower skill level tasks .

Option #2: Enclave agreement.
How does this work?.
Steps 1 -3: Same as for outsource contracting .
Step 4: The work is performed in a designated area at Employer’s facility.
Options assembles a work crew and assigns an Employment Training Specialists (job coach) to supervise the crew.
The work is completed, according to the specifications.

Option #3: Supported Employment .
How does this work?.
Step 1: Our Employment Training Specialist (also referred to as ETS or Job Coach), utilize work history and vocational assessment to match one or more of our service recipients to a job that is available .
Step 2: The Job Coach then introduces “supported employment services” to an employer in hope of obtaining an opportunity for job interview and job placement.
1. An employer may wish to hire one individual or possibly 2 individuals to either work as a group or to “share” a job.
The job coach is there to provide any necessary supports to facilitate the specific placement preferred..
2. In some instances the employer may prefer to contract with Options for a group placement or “enclave”.
In this case the employer pays Options and Options provides the on-site workers and enclave job coach for the term of the agreement and Options assumes all payroll and payroll liabilities..
Step 3: The service recipient completes an interview and goes through the hiring process at which time the ETS informs the employer of available employment incentives including tax credits.
Step 4: If the applicant is selected and employed, our ETS gets busy developing a job/task analysis of the job that includes all performance standards .
Step 5 : The ETS then provides jobsite training until the person is performing the job to standards and demonstrates an understanding of workplace policies and procedures.
Once this happens, our ETS fades away from the jobsite and provides follow-along support, as necessary, throughout the person’s employment.
The end result is a valuable new employee and access to support from our agency throughout the person’s employment.
