Marty has been training dogs since 2006 and is a cross-over trainer. After successfully training dogs for years w/ traditional methods he had a traumatic experience while working w/ an aggression case. . After this tragic event he began searching for more than the "Dog Whisperer" and found Karen Pryor. When he first started classes at Karen Pryor Academy he thought it would be nice to add the clicker to his tool box. But after just a couple months into his education he threw everything else out of that tool box. While learning from PhDs in the field of Applied Behavioral Science and experts in the field of force free training worldwide he found out that he was mislead and given false information while studying how Cesar was teaching dogs. . It's now been 6 years since he started at KPA, four times at ClickerExpo and over a dozen seminars and he's not done learning yet. He's a presenter of the "Be a Tree" program by Doggone Safe which teaches children how to be a dog detective and stay safe from bites. He's the trainer for Independent Therapy Dogs, Inc. for the NorCal area. He's a Certified Training Partner at KPA, a full member of APDT, a member of Doggone Safe, a TagTeach primary level learner and an AKC CGC evaluator..
