Detailed description is Peekamoose Valley Campground is a series of camping (fields) with a total of 24 wilderness campsites. (If you carry it in,carry it out) Free to the public! There are four camping fields spread over a distance of about half of a mile. The first field is a trailer field with (several) trailer sites. The second A.K.A the Upper Field has Eight dispersed sites. The third A.K.A the Middle Field has Six. The fourth A.K.A the lower field has Ten sites that are spread across the greatest distance. All are serviced with at least one Port "o" John toilet with the best access being had in the upper and middle fields. There is also access to a beautiful mountain creek with the renowned "Blue Hole" nearby for swimming and recreation as well as many great hiking opportunities in the immediate area. This is a Free rustic campground and therefore has limited maintenance so if you bring it in please bring it out so that everyone has the opportunity to enjoy this beautiful place for generations to come.
