Detailed description is 3P Mentors will help create a welcoming environment for new international students to enable them to adjust, develop and flourish academically as well as socially as a member of the Penn State community. The Peer Partnership Program (3P) does not function as a typical one-on-one mentor-mentee organization. Rather, it takes advantage of the “strength in numbers” concept. Functioning more as a small group allows mentees and mentors self select who would be the best fit for them as a person, avoiding the awkwardness that can occur when strangers have been assigned to mentor-mentee relationships, but it is not the best fit. Additionally, 3P takes advantage of the many programs and events already taking place on campus. There is so much to do, all it takes is a few friendly faces—like you—to help get others out the door.. .
