With views of the nearby Sange de Cristo Mountains and expansive Rociada valley, the course provides at atmosphere like no other course in NM can offer. There are four sets of tees that play from 5,020 to 6,550 yards to challenge all skill levels.. . Especially notable are the doglegs: tee shots where you can choose daredevil shortcuts over the ponderosas; power a drive over a pond bordered by trees, slice a driver more than 60 yards on a par 5, a dogleg left where you hit a 150 yard tee shot to leave a 115 yard shot to a blind slippery green, or a fairway slanted 12º to the right, leaving a near-impossible slice shot to the green if you don’t stay in the fairway! This is a fun and beautiful course, not your typical grip it and rip it course, and requires course management!. .
