It is administered by the charity Autism Initiatives. The school was established in 1974 following an extensive fund-raising campaign led by the late Pat Minshull to provide education and care for her son, Peter.. The school has Department for Education approval for admitting up to 64 pupils. The school is divided into up to 5 classes with a maximum of 8 pupils in each class, supported by one teacher and a minimum of three teaching assistants. The Further Education Department is currently divided into four groups, two of which are based at our College situated approximately 3 miles from the main site.
