Pinwheel Playhouse was created to house and encompass the world of skills both educational and for entertainment that I want to offer to the world of early childhood education. . . My name is Jessica Ferraday and I am the creator and founder of Pinwheel Playhouse. I have been an actress and singer for over 20 years. 10+ years of that time has been spent entertaining and educating children. . . I have training in art, dance, movement, music, theatre, and creative dramatics. The environment that I choose to create for the classroom is one of free creative play within a structured family class environment. What that means is that children are encouraged to participate but never forced or expected to. We allow them to enter the world of learning in whatever capacity they choose and for some that may simply be observation. . . There have been many studies and there is a lot of science behind the methods that I use in the classroom. Children benefit and learn sometimes simply from exposure and the creative free play environment allows them to learn THEIR way. . . For entertainment I offer customizable party themes from farmtown to rock star to princess tea party, to bubbles and ballerinas! You name it we can do it. All parties use the creative play format along with music, games, and creative dramatics. You pick the theme and I bring the party! We use props, games and LOTS of music and FUN! I offer parties for ages 2-8. . Classes vary in age range but encompass ages birth-12 throughout. The age specifics will be listed with each class description as they are offered.
