Detailed description is Pristine Antiques, Collectibles, and Gifts is Owned and Operated by Steve and Priscilla Shoap. The Store is Located at 27 E. Baltimore Street in Historic Taneytown Md. Pristine Antiques and Collectibles, LLC Located in the center of mainstreet Downtown Taneytown, MD. We are a small, family owned antique shop, in between Taneytown City Hall and the Taneytown Fire Station. Taneytown is right on the Mason-Dixon Line, approximately 15 minutes North of Westminster, and 15 minutes South of Gettysburg, and 15 minutes from Thermont (Camp David), 30 minutes North of Frederick. Great for a Sunday drive! . . Inside, we offer a wide arrangement of glassware, books, CDs, DVDs, antique furniture and collectibles, newer collectibles, gifts, and much more! We've also added coffee, candy, and pastries to our shop, so customers can stop in for some snacks and a hot drink while they look around! . . Our merchandise comes from both our own collection, as well as from showcases rented throughout the shop by many fine dealers. Some History: Taneytown is rooted in history, and was founded in 1754. It is known for George Washington having frequented through this town, and it is also part of the Civil War trails. Union troops passed through Taneytown before the battle of Gettysburg, and the battle even came close to taking place in Taneytown instead of Gettysburg. . . Our building is an old Victorian home built in 1885, was originally a hardware store, and has always been a home/shop combined. Previous to our antique shop, this store was an old, run down gun shop, which we immediately gutted, and renovated to bring it back to its Victorian standards from the inside and out. . .
