History of the Pulaski County E911. 249 Perry Hwy, Hawkinsville, GA 31036. HISTORY OF DEPARTMENT. The 911 Operators were moved out of the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Dept and put under the control of Pulaski County Emergency Management Agency and Fire Chief Leslie P. Sewell appointed as the Director Nov 2004. The New 911 Center was completed and opened on land that the County owned next to the Health Department, 87 North Lumpkin Street, on April 1, 2005, with only a director and three communications officers.. The 911 Center was moved to 249 Perry Hwy on Nov 7, 2012. This was the old National Guard Building. The 911 Center, Pulaski County Fire Department, Pulaski Co Emergency Management Agency moved to this new location. Construction started on the new truck bays on the south end of old building the next week. Before the end of year an additional 18 acres behind the station was added..
