Having had various jobs over the years including working as a florist when I first left school, returning to college, working as membership Officer for Dyfed Wildlife Trust and working in the Bodyshop.. . In 2002 I decided to try and work with animals as this had always been what I had wanted to do. . I embarked on a City and Guilds dog grooming course in Cheltenham. I loved it and haven't looked back since. . . After a spell working as a groomer in Manchester, I returned home and decided I would give grooming a go on my own.. . After much searching I found a small run down premises in Haverfordwest. With the help of my now husband David, we fixed the place up and I opened Top Dog Grooming Studio.It was a great success from the start, partly as I was the only dog groomer in the town in 2004. . . David and I got married in 2005, with the hope of the pitter patter of tiny feet soon to arrive! To our joy our son was born in 2008.. . As we were now living in St Clears, we knew that it running my business and bringing up baby would be too much. I was so fortunate to find Amelia who bought the business from me and carried it on very successfully.. . I have been a full time mum to our son and following on in 2011 our lovely daughter.. As they are both in school now I am delighted to be able to get back to some dog grooming work! . Who knows they might want to run the business for me in the future!
