Detailed description is The "no purse-purse" or "the anti-fanny pack". Purse On A String. It all started on our birthday trip to the casinos in Shreveport. We are best friends that have known each other since college and were celebrating our birthdays. Dee got the brilliant idea that she would find each of us some type of little bag that we could carry our phones, keys, credit cards and cash in, so that we didn't have to haul around our big purses. She knew this was critical to the casino experince because the last time we went we had to stash our phones in our bras ( which lead to lots of stares when we had to answer them) and we don't always have pockets. Besides, even if you do have a pocket on your pants, putting these new smartphones in them just looks like a giant brick - and who needs that?. . So the search was on. We needed something small and not too expensive. This was not intended to take the place of our real purse, just to fill a need for the day.. . The only thing that she could find to fit the bill was a clear plastic underwater camera pouch. It was on a string that we could wear around our neck just like a scuba diver. One of the greatest things about it was that you could see who was calling you without having to search around for your phone. Of course, then you could either answer or ignore the call without ever missing a beat at the slots!.. . We had women asking us the whole weekend where we got those little purses around our necks. That got us to thinking...we're not the only ones who need this. So we had a prototype made and took it to a Rangers baseball game so we wouldn't have to hold our regular purse in our lap the whole time, or set it down in a puddle of beer. It also left our hands free for wild cheering and of course, carrying back goodies from the concession stand. Where else could we use these little crossbody beauties: How about at any type of sporting event or when you want to be hands free? Or how about when your travelling? Or how about as a promotional/marketing item? What about walkers? Riding a bike? Horeseback riding? Really, anywhere you need to take your phone and maybe a little cash, but don't want your regular purse.. . Anyway, an idea was hatched and Purse On A String was born. We have placed our first order and should have them the first week of March 2011. Our website is under construction. The trip to Shreveport may not have been a jackpot, but we are hoping this little project turns out to be!!. . Check back again for progress reports.. . . . Dee and Rolynn. . .
