Detailed description is Rainbow Falls Connection is a small, local company based in Hilo, Hawaii. Famous for their Hawaiian Tropical Lavosh, RFC offers the world uniquely flavored confections from decadent cookies to creamy butter spreads. Mr. George Yokoyama, in 2002, was the Executive Director of a non-profit organization called Hawaii County Economic Opportunity Council. He had a dream to create several kitchens and incubator kitchens on the east side of the Big Island that would allow individuals to increase production and to create businesses. His goal was to provide opportunities for low-income individuals to gain the knowledge and skills needed to eventually become self-sufficient.. . Under the trade name Rainbow Falls Connection, these kitchens produced confectionery gift items such as decadent cookies and delicious party mixes known as Hakalau Mixers. Rainbow Falls Connection was committed to hiring low-income individuals in an effort to eliminate poverty in the community. Workers learned business and job training and became self-motivated.. . Two years ago, H.C.E.O.C., under new management, decided to end Rainbow Falls Connection. It was then that the opportunity for employees to formally purchase the business was brought forth. A dedicated and devoted long time worker, George Hanohano Jr. decided that it was his opportunity to take. In 2010, Yokohano Georges, LLC., was established and the Hilo kitchen remained Rainbow Falls Connection.. . With delicious recipes from the former Hakalau kitchen supervisor and current Blue Kalo owner, Vinel Sugino, RFC has expanded to an array of scrumptious delights like its Hawaiian Tropical Lavosh. With over thirteen tasty flavors, RFC’s Hawaiian Tropical Lavosh has made a name for itself here in the islands. And so has its creamy butter spreads and flavorsome Hawaiian honey. Today, George Hanohano Jr. remains a dedicated and devoted part of RFC who prides himself on continuing the goal of Mr. George Yokoyama.
